LOGOsm_120Men of  Hope was founded in 2010 and is a non-profit organization and is committed to raising awareness and resources for survivors of childhood victimization through public education and charity events that support existing agencies / organizations that provide services for victims of child abuse.

All funds and donations relating to events organized by Men of Hope go directly to existing specific agencies/organizations to assist them in continuing their much needed programs, services and support of individuals throughout Canada.

“This is not an issue of gender.  This is an issue of humanity.  While statistics indicate that 1 in 5 boys & 1 in 3 girls are sexually victimized before the age of 16 in Canada, in my opinion 1 in3 children are victims of sexual violence.  Child predators are not gender specific, however they are specific to the vunerability of children.” 

Men of Hope have assisted in raising much needed funds for agencies/organizations :

Sexual Assault Centre for Quinte & District – Counselling and Advocacy for Victims of Sexual Assault Since 1991.  For nearly two decades, the Sexual Assault Centre for Quinte & District has been providing counselling and advocacy services to both men and women in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties who have been victims of sexual assault.

The Mens Project – a non-profit charitable men’s counselling agency that has been providing services to men and their families since 1997.

Kawartha Sexual Assault Centre –  a not-for-profit organization that is dedicated to supporting those affected by sexual violence as well as raising public awareness around the need to better address conditions, laws and attitudes that contribute to ongoing cycles of violence. Our catchment area includes the city of Peterborough, the counties of Peterborough, Northumberland, Haliburton and the City of Kawartha Lakes.

B.C. Society for Survivors of Male Sexual Abuse – is a non-profit society established to provide therapeutic services for males who have been sexually abused at some time in their lives.
